What we do

As a registered childminder I aim to provide a childminding service for babies and children of all ages, to learn and develop in a safe, secure, home-based environment to ensure each child develops to their maximum potential. I work to the ‘Fountation Phase’ framework which encourages learning whilst playing methods and planned activities, as well as free-play time to allow freedom of choice and promote independent thinkers and learners. I also use local playgroups  to encourage your child to interact with children of similar ages and to ensure your child will be ready for reception when the time comes.

Before starting Building Blocks childminding service in 2013, I worked over 10 years as a carer for adults with learning disabilities and also caring for the elderly.

I'm active and enjoy being outdoors, exploring the local area such as Parc Howard, Millennium coastal park, Pembrey country park, Margam

Who do we support

My service is open to all children, with equal opportunities and with consideration to individual needs or special requirements.  Children with special needs are welcome but a discussion will be needed to establish as to whether I can meet the needs.

I am available Monday to Friday 6am to 8.30pm but can be flexible to suit your needs. I also offer a before/after school club as well. I accept childcare vouchers.
