What we do

Awen at the library is a community CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) in Whitchurch which works with the paid library staff to provide arts and activities in the community for children and adults. We are committed to keeping our publicly run library as a vibrant part of the community.

Who do we support

The community who live or work or study in Whitchurch and Tongwynlais Cardiff.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Depends - We have many free events but some because of cost of speakers we may make a small charge, we charge a small amount for refreshments and sometimes ask for donations. There is a fee of £5/year to become an awen@thelibrary member which means you receive information about events. We try to keep all costs at the minimum to ensure access to all.
