What we do

Home safety is not just about the building you live in. We take a person centred approach to make sure you are as safe as you can be in your own home. During the visit we can look at the home, the person, and their behaviors.
Topics we cover include: Kitchen safety, Electrical safety, Smoking, Portable & open fires, Smoke, heat & CO alarms, Bedtime routines, Escape routes, Hoarding, Falls & crime prevention. If anyone requires a visit, it will take about 30 minutes and we will provide education and advice, as well as install free smoke, heat and Carbon Monoxide detectors where risk is identified. Alarms for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing are also available.
By registering contact information South Wales Fire and Rescue Service can get in touch by phone, email or text to talk through your needs and organise a free home safety visit if needs be.
