What we do

Rondel House is an integrated Day Opportunities Service for Older People with assessed complex needs, provided in partnership with Vale of Glamorgan Council and The Care Collective. The service is based in Rondel House Community Hub, situated in Maes Y Cwm Street, Barry and provides a service for older people who live in the Central and Eastern areas of the Vale of Glamorgan. The service is a centre of excellence to predominantly support older people living with Dementia and their carers. Rondel House is in the centre of Barry and aims to contribute to and support a developing Dementia friendly community. Our focus is to meet the assessed needs of service users and carers, promoting and enabling continued independence, providing information, support, reablement opportunities and care services.

Who do we support

We support older people who may live with age related frailty, chronic illness, disability or mental health problems, including Dementia. We also provide information, advice and support to the carers and families of those who access the service.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Care package charge determined through Financial Assessment.

Can anyone use this service?

Referral must be made to Social Services for an Adult Services needs assessment by a Social Services or Health professional.
