What's in a line of poetry? We're delighted to be hosting one of our favourite projects in the city - the Where I'm Coming From (WICF) writers collective - who platform the very best of spoken word and poetry from writers of colour across Cardiff and beyond. The event starts with a featured talk from Susan Cousins - author, counsellor, and Equality and Diversity Project Officer at Cardiff University - who'll be reading extracts from her book Overcoming Everyday Racism. Susan's talk will be followed by WICF's usual line up of open-mic contributions, featuring diverse writers and poets performing material on a range of subjects!JOIN US ON FOR POETRY & SPOKEN WORDON THE AFTERNOON OF SUNDAY 20TH OCTOBER4.00-6.00pm, Wyndham Street Centre3-5 Wyndham Street (bottom of Machen Place), Riverside, CF11 6DQFree entry, but tickets must be reserved!email Radha on firstname.lastname@example.org
