Have choice and take control
No Booking required and free. Playday is the day for play, celebrated each year on the first Wednesday in August. Playday 2025 will be celebrated on Wednesday 6 August. We are excited to announce that the theme for this year’s Playday is … Spaces for Play. This year’s theme highlights the vital importance of accessible, inclusive spaces where children and young people have opportunities to play freely, spending time, and connecting with friends – and feel valued as part of their community. Children will play anywhere and everywhere, so access to quality playful spaces and places is essential for their happiness and development, offering opportunities to boost both physical health and emotional well-being. Join us to celebrate Play Day in the Vale where we will be joined by partners for a day packed with inclusive, fun activities for all to enjoy. Activities will include: Junk Modelling, Cardboard City, Outdoor Games, Small Worlds, Den Building, Muddy Kitchens and lots more!
We are able to support children with additional needs. This event is funded by Welsh Government's Playworks Holiday Project. Turn up and play.
