What we do

Join us to mark the 60th anniversary of Carers UK with the Mary Webster Lecture in Wales, hosted by Katie Fenton, Health Correspondent at ITV Wales.

Speakers include:

The Rt Hon. the Lord Kinnock, former Leader of the Labour Party and former unpaid carer. (Joining remotely).
The Baroness Jill Pitkeathley OBE, Carers UK Vice President. (In conversation with Lord Kinnock).
Dr Dan Burrows, Senior Lecturer, School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University.
Helen Walker, Chief Executive, Carers UK.
The event brings together a fascinating line-up of speakers from within and beyond Wales, to discuss why unpaid care is such an important issue and the steps we must take as policymakers and as society to achieve equality for unpaid carers in Wales and the rest of the UK. Once the panel have shared their thoughts and experiences, there will be time for a broader discussion on key issues involving members of the audience.
