Accessibility

Dewis Cymru is committed to ensuring, as far as reasonably practicable, that people have access to information and advice in a format that meets their specific needs. To support our commitment, we have:

  • Incorporated feedback obtained through the ‘Barod’ Community Interest Company, who facilitated events where people visited the website and recorded their experiences of how it might be improved;
  • Improved accessibility based on recommendations from the ‘Shaw Trust’, who have considered the accessibility of Dewis Cymru from the perspective of people with disabilities;
  • Included BSL and Easy Read content explaining what Dewis Cymru is and how to use it; and
  • Included ‘Browsealoud’ assistive technology software, which converts the website’s text to speech across a wide range of languages.

The Dewis Cymru project team welcomes feedback on how accessibility can be improved further and can be contacted via the ‘Contact Us’ button on the homepage.
