What we do

Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club meet every Saturday 3.30pm - 5pm at Barry Leisure Centre.
We offer swimming for children and adults with disabilities or long-term health conditions. We organise and enable people to attend our weekly swimming and therapy sessions.
We incorporate fun and games within our teaching which ensures everyone can benefit and enjoy the sessions.
We provide qualified instruction using the Halliwick Method in teaching swimming therapy to disabled members, of all ages and disabilities.
We offer access to the services of Barry Beavers, part of the clubs activities include social activities and events all free to members. Our members gain confidence through coming to the club, making new friends and interacting in social activities provided by the club.
Barry Beavers objectives are:
· To ensure all swimmers are safe and happy in the water
· To help all disabled swimmers gain confidence in the water
· To teach swimmers using the ‘Halliwick’ Method
