Information about us

dewis.cymru and dewis.wales is a website that was developed in partnership by The Social Services Improvement Agency (SSIA); The North Wales Transforming Access to Community Health and Social Care (Single Point of Access) Programme (SPoA), and; The Local Government Data Unit Wales (DUW).

The Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) on behalf of Welsh Local Authorities owns the final product and the associated intellectual property rights.

The website is operated by the Local Government Data Unit (Wales) on behalf of the Welsh Local Government Association ("We").

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms of use at any time by amending this page.  Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we made, as they are binding on you.

Changes to our site

We will always take reasonable steps to ensure the website’s information is maintained as accurately as possible. It should be noted, however, that the website may be out of date at any given time. We do not guarantee that our website, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.

Our website is made available free of charge.  We do not guarantee that our website, or any information within, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and the material published on it. Copyright laws and treaties around the world protect these works. All such rights are reserved.

You may print off copies and download extracts of any page(s) from our website for your personal use or for other people who you may be representing. You may draw the attention of others within your organisation to the information posted within the website.

Welsh Language

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any information you add to our website meets your organisation’s obligations as detailed under the Welsh Language Act (1993) and the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011.

Third Sector organisations should also consider their obligations, regarding the use of the Welsh Language, under the terms and conditions of any contractual or grant funded agreement they may have in place with a public body, such as a Local Authority or Health Board.

Viruses

We do not guarantee that our website will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access our website. You should use your own virus protection software.

Applicable law

If you are a consumer, please note that English law governs these terms of use, its subject matter and its formation. You and we both agree to that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

If you are a business, these terms of use, its subject matter and its formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
