What we do

Age Cymru Powys is the leading local charity dedicated to improving the lives of older people and their carers in Powys since 1995. As part of the Age UK Network, the charity provides a range of services including quality-accredited advice and support to reduce poverty and social isolation, helping local older people enjoy a fulfilling and independent later life.

Each year we help around 3,000 older Powys residents. One of them could be you, a friend or a relative.

Our experienced, friendly advisers offer information, advice and support on a wide range of topics including:

Finding help at home
Housing needs
Pensions
Dementia support services
Discrimination
Health advice
Care homes
Care at home
Consumer issues
Support for carers
Welfare benefits
Family and personal matters
Later life planning
Befriending
Local services and support across Powys

And most other things that affect your quality of life.

Who do we support

Providing support and advice to people of pension age and their families and carers in Powys, Mid Wales.

Whether you are looking for advice for yourself, a family member or friend, Age Cymru Powys is happy to help with enquiries for older people living in Powys.

We visit people in the community and at home, in hospitals and in care homes.

If your enquiry is outside our office times, you can leave a message or contact the national Age Cymru Advice Line on 0300 303 44 98.

This service is for people aged between 65 years and 100 years.
