What we do

Age Cymru Powys is your local charity offering support and services for older people in Powys.

Each year we help around 2,000 older Powys residents with over 3,000 issues. One of them could be you, a friend or a relative. We’re here to support older people to live independently, make informed choices and have control over their lives.

Our experienced, friendly advisers offer information, advice and support on a wide range of topics including:

Finding help at home
Housing needs
Pensions
Discrimination
Health advice
Care homes
Care at home
Consumer issues
Support for carers
Welfare benefits
Family and personal matters
Later life planning
Befriending
Local services and support across Powys

And most other things that affect your quality of life.

This service is for people aged between 65 years and 100 years.
