What we do

Are you over 65 & living in the Vale of Glamorgan?
Are you lonely or isolated & would like some company or a chat?
Have you lost confidence & are you looking for help to get out of the house & join activities in your local community?
Do you need some extra support now & again to help you stay independent and living in your own home? (Includes Shopping)

If you don’t have family or friends who can help we might be able to provide:
• Information on what support is available or answers to queries
• Information on activities & clubs in your local area
• A volunteer visitor for company
• Help with transport or an escort to attend appointments
• Help with Shopping if you struggle to get out of the house or use internet shopping.
• Regular phone calls for a chat and to check that everything is OK

Who do we support

• The project is aimed at supporting older people who are most in need, - Those who don’t have many family or friends visiting or rarely get out of the house.
• You will need to register before accessing our services and we need at least a weeks’ notice for transport and escorting appointments.
• A volunteer to help will take time to arrange because we will have to find and recruit a volunteer to support you.
• The project does not cover Dinas Powys which is covered by Dinas Powys Voluntary Concern.

This service is for people aged 60+.

The office hours vary due to seeing clients however volunteers help clients 7 days a week.
