What we do

The Tavs Centre comes under Hope Cardiff CIO. This is the social action charity for Glenwood Church. Our heart through Tavs is to engage, support and empower people in Cardiff addressing issues arising from homelessness, addiction, mental health and isolation.

We aim to:

Build a sense of community and belonging and provide a safe hub for the homeless, the vulnerably housed and anyone who faces any form of social exclusion in Cardiff.

Support those we see in an empowering, inclusive, holistic, respectful and purpose-giving way.

See people move from a place of social exclusion to social inclusion, reintegrated into wider society and the opportunities resulting from that – e.g. work, volunteering.

Work in partnership with other organisations in Cardiff to reach goals ensuring there is no duplication, and making efficient use of resources.

Who do we support

Open to anyone

We have a range of activities through the week:
- Tuesday 11-1pm *Community Brunch*
£2 for hot food or just pop in for a free hot drink and a chat. We have craft activities going on at the same time.

- Thursday 3:30-5:30pm *Winter Warm Space* (Oct- Mar only)
Drop in for a hot drink, a game, some colouring, or to make use of our shower or laundry facilities

- Thursday 5:30-7pm *Food Co-op*
£3 for a selection of groceries,

- Sunday 5-6pm *Burger Evening*
Free. Come in and enjoy a burger and hot drink.

This service is for people aged 18+.
