Have choice and take control
The project supports clients in the community to become independent and sustain their accommodation in the future by providing accommodation with support for up to a 2-year period. The project additionally supports people to make more positive lifestyle choices, develop confidence and skills required to live more independently, address co-existing support needs and tackle barriers that are holding them back. The project consists of 3 shared houses within the locality of Neath Port Talbot and 4 within Swansea, in which there are four residents in each. The project offers support and accommodation to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. A package of support is tailored to the need of the individual. All support staff are trained in Solution Focus and work in a psychologically and trauma informed way. The Scheme is funded by Supporting People Revenue Grant funds and regulated by the Welsh Assembly Government.
