Have choice and take control
We provide a variety of services to support parents to enable every child to have a flying start in life. This includes: - Funded childcare in a choice of settings for children from the term after their second birthday to the term after their third birthday 2.5 hours per day 39 weeks per year. - Intensive health visiting and midwifery support - Parent support services: advice, guidance, signposting and/or direct support on parenting and issues that impact on parenting (parenting confidently, managing finances, housing, ill health, basic skills) provided in groups or one-to-one in the family home- Activities in the community, small groups and/or one-to-one in the home to encourage a child's development . These include Let's Play, Let's Talk, Baby Massage, Pop-in-and-Play and much more We also oversee the roll out of the 2 year old childcare offer. This is a phased approach to offer funded childcare to families - 12.5 hours per week, term time only.
