What we do

The Intake Team are the first point of contact for anyone raising new concerns about the welfare of a child or new information about a child already known to the team. The team provides an assessment service as well as signposting to other appropriate services.
You can contact us to request a parents / carers assessment. To request a young carers assessment, please contact the Families First Advice Line (08000327322)

Who do we support

We focus on seven main groups:

- Children and young people whose families need help and support to look after them because of ill health or other problems
- Children and young people who are at risk of harm, have been neglected or who may have been harmed
- Disabled children and their parents/ carers and young carers
- Children who are looked after (in care)
- Children and young people in trouble with the law
- Children and young people looked after by the local authority and have now left care
- Young people in need of care and support who have nowhere to live

    Please contact to discuss your child(s) needs further.   All children are entitled to have an assessment if it is deemed they require care and support.

Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Friday 8.30 - 4:30pm
