What we do

The current Tenancy Support scheme at Llamau in the Vale of Glamorgan is made up of TSS 6, 7, Tom Holmes and Newlands. We deal with issues of maintaining tenancies for those who are at risk of losing them and those who are of no fixed abode or sofa surfing. We support with getting a safe and secure home to keep people as far away from homelessness as possible, whilst giving them a sense of purpose and belonging. Our schemes support ages 16 plus and we have no upper age limit. We work with council services, housing providers, health and wellbeing agencies, employment services and training providers to encourage engagement and participation.

Who do we support

The Vale Floating Support Team based in Barry provide support to people having difficulties managing their home.
Floating support can help you resolve a crisis, improve your skills and confidence to take control of your life, prevent homelessness and enable you to manage your tenancy better. You may need support in your own home for a range of reasons, such as: moving into new or unsupported accommodation, facing difficulties in your life that may lead to homelessness, leaving hospital, prison or a care setting and need support to manage a new or existing tenancy. Depending upon your needs we may be able to support you to remain in your current accommodation or to find alternative accommodation, access physical and mental health services and encourage healthy lifestyles, move on from temporary accommodation into more settled accommodation, access and maintain education, training and employment opportunities, access services to help maintain your independence.

This service is for people aged between 16 years and 100 years.
