What we do

Vale Food bank is part of The Trussell network of 428 food banks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK. We work in partnership with other organisations across the Vale who offer support of various kinds. These organisations can issue our vouchers which are exchanged at our centres for 3 day emergency food parcels.

We also have advisors from Citizens Advice and Hafod in our centres.

Locations and times for all our foodbank sessions throughout the Vale:
Mondays: St Peter's Church, Rhoose 10-11am
Coastlands Church, Barry - 13:30-15:00
Tuesdays: Hope Church Cadoxton, Barry - 13:30-14:30
Wednesdays: Bethel Baptist, Llantwit Major - 13:00-15:00
Bethesda, Dinas Powys - 13:30-14:30
The Bridge Between Community Centre, Barry - 12:00-13:00
Golau Caredig, Barry - 16:00-18:00
Thursday: Coastlands Church, Barry - 16:00-17:30
Friday: St Mary’s Church, Barry - 13:30-15:00

Important - Our food banks work using a voucher referral system. Vouchers are available from all Council Hubs, Citizens advice, children centres , health visitors and and other organisations listed on our website. Please contact us for more information.

If you are in Financial crisis and don't have a support or advise agency helping you, please contact Pobl - a referral agency partner of Vale Foodbank. They provide advice and may refer you for a food bank parcel. The number is 01446735444.

Food parcels are delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
