What we do

Risca Foodbank is a friendly non-judgmental environment for people in need. We are a welcoming group of volunteers who work in partnership with the Trussell Trust and the Salvation Army. We provide food parcels to local people in crisis. The food is generously donated by Tesco and their amazing customers, local churches and chapels and private donations from local people and businesses who enable us to provide food parcels to those in need. We provide a nutritionally balanced 3 days emergency food parcel to help those in crisis. Our aim is to combat poverty and hunger.

Who do we support

Anyone in crisis or need to help stop people living with hunger

We can arrange a small drop in parcel for those in need and will send your details to an agency to help support you in obtaining electronic vouchers if needed in the future

Is there a charge to use this service?

No

Can anyone use this service?

A referral is needed to obtain a food voucher. We have 36 partner agencies that can provide the vouchers. These include Citizens Advice Bureau, Social Services, Caerphilly Council, Risca CAP, Gofal, Health teams, disability orgnisations, Barnardo's, Gwalia, Pobl Group, TLC Cafe, St David'sChurch.  Opening times

Risca Foodbank is open every Tuesday and Friday between 9:45am and 11:30am.
We have Platform in every Tuesday for a little bit of extra help.

Come and visit us, we'll make sure the kettle is on!

We are based upstairs, however there is a bell in situ and a volunteer can come and meet anyone with mobility issues on the ground floor.
