What we do

Helping people achieve a good level of fitness together with social opportunity. We use a walking technique similar to cross-country skiing using specially designed poles.
We have 3 walks per week in different locations:
Blackwood area, including Argoed, Pengam, Gelligroes, Pontywaun and Sirhowy Country Park .
Caerphilly area - Bedwas, Machen, Nantgarw, Abertridwr and Fforest fawr.
Abergavenny – Llanfoist, Goytre Wharf, Govilon and Gilwern.

Good parking, toilets and cafes on most locations. We walk four to five miles in approximately an hour and a half. Nordic Walking is a great form of exercise for both body and mind, it can help with weight control and can improve mental health. You'll learn the Nordic Walking technique during your first walk with the Nordic poles provided. Our walks are paced between leisurely and medium pace, all bar one on flat terrain.

This service is for people aged 18+.
