What we do

Telecare is a monitoring service that allows you to access help day or night, 365 days a year, through the touch of a button on your wrist strap or a lanyard that hangs around your neck.
Telecare can provide you, and your loved ones, with some extra reassurance and peace of mind so you can live independently but can give you a bit of extra support to feel safe.

What you get in the basic package:
A Telecare alarm, set up by a professional
A button you can wear on your wrist or around your neck
A 24/7 support team every day of the year
A water-resistant alarm button
Quick help if you fall

Telecare is great if you:

Live alone
Have a medical condition
Want peace of mind for yourself or your family
It’s there when you need it most

We offer a professional and friendly service from our office in Barry to local communities. Our friendly team are always on hand to help and will do their best to put you at ease in difficult times.

We work with St John Ambulance, so we can get to you quickly and safely.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Telecare Essential Package consists of an alarm button and a lifeline unit. You can ask to speak to one of our Telecare Support Officers to discuss other available equipment.
The ongoing monitoring charge is £5.93 per week.

Can anyone use this service?

Anyone can request Telecare by ringing 01446 700111.

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm
Friday 8.30am - 4pm
