What we do

NHS hospital services are run and managed by NHS Health Boards, which make sure that hospitals provide high-quality healthcare, and that money is spent efficiently. This hospital is a Minor Injury Unit (MIU) and is for minor injuries that are not serious or life threatening.

Please be aware: there are changes to the opening times at the Minor Injury Unit. It will be open from 8.00am to 8.00pm, 7 days a week. For further information please see: Changes to Minor Injury Unit Opening Hours - Powys Teaching Health Board.Please note: the MIU prefers for contact to be made prior to attending to obtain an appointment.  Patients are required to contact the hospital and they will be called back by a member of the MIU team and offered a telephone consultation.  If they need to be seen, they will be provided with a designated clinic time.  Patients to call: 01597 828735. 

Is there a charge to use this service?

Depends - NHS services are generally free at the point of delivery. There may be specific aspects of service which you may be charged for e.g. some services provided via your dentist or optician etc.
