Have choice and take control
Since KIM was established in 2002, we have recognised the importance of meaningful community integration in the recovery of people living with mental ill health and related issues. KIM's activities have always taken place in buildings and resources that are open to everyone and not places individuals associate only with illness or problems. Placing the service in venues used by the public for mainstream activities serves to build individuals confidence in accessing their local resources independently, perhaps with their families and friends which leads to more resilient people and communities.KIM has developed regular activities and events for the local community, particularly in the Holywell area. We work in other locations across Flintshire, and in Wrexham, Prestatyn, Llangollen and Corwen.
Our KIM 4 Her & KIM 4 Him services are gender-specific support and can be accessed by either a self-referral or a referral from a worker involved. Referrals take less than 2 minutes via our website.
This service is for people aged between 16 years and 100 years.
