What we do

Cardiff YMCA Housing Association is a charitable Housing Association and a Registered Social Landlord. We are registered with the Welsh Government and we directly manage board and lodge hostels in the Roath area of Cardiff.

We provide temporary accommodation and support to our residents in their search for permanent accommodation as well as support for a range of other areas. We have specific workers who are dedicated to meeting the educational, training/volunteering or employment needs of our residents and have an activity and resource centre that runs weekly activities and workshops based on the 5 ways to wellbeing.

Who do we support

Anyone aged 18+ who finds themselves in housing crisis may apply via Cardiff Council’s Housing Options Centre.

Some of our accommodation is accessible for people with disabilities and includes wheelchair access.

We also have one pet room.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Rent is applicable to all properties: support provided to gain & maintain housing benefit claim where applicable.

Can anyone use this service?

Anyone can contact us directly but referrals can only be accepted via Cardiff Council.
