Have choice and take control
The focus of this project is on breaking down the barriers to volunteering and employment across Gwent. The numbers of people with learning disabilities, neurodevelopment and mental health conditions who want to work are substantial but they are grossly under-represented in the workplace. Linked to this is a need to integrate true co-production and take on board what matters to people who actually use LD services. We have developed a high quality, outcome focused supported employment programme to link into volunteering, work trials and employment opportunities.
