What we do

Huggard works to tackle homelessness and improve individual wellbeing. We run an open access Intervention Centre, which is open 365 days a year, providing a hub of services, and a safe space, that meets the needs of, and provides opportunities to, people who are experiencing homelessness. We provide high quality hot meals, laundry and washing facilities, a clothes store, advocacy, housing and benefit advice, substance misuse support, volunteering and training opportunities. We also provide emergency accommodation, hostel accommodation and supported housing across Cardiff. We also have female only accommodation.

Who do we support

Huggard works with people experiencing homelessness and focuses its work with people who may have experienced trauma and as a consequence have developed complex lives that require psychologically informed support. Our Intervention Centre provides support and help to people who are predominately sleeping rough or are in emergency accommodation.

This service is for people aged between 16 years and 100 years.

Can anyone use this service?

Our Intervention Centre (Day Centre) is open access. Our accommodation services work through Cardiff's single person accommodation Gateway. We also run the out of hours and emergency accommodation.
