What we do

Funded by Vale of Glamorgan Council, Llamau provide 20 units of 24 hour staffed supported accommodation across 4 projects. The projects are all located in Barry. Young people facing homelessness and with a variety of complex vulnerabilities and support needs are referred to us via Vale of Glamorgan Council. Our aim is to work with young people and support them on the journey towards independence in the community. We will provide support to move on and settle in independent accommodation.
We also provide 52 units of floating support to young people and to people with substance misuse / criminal justice issues also referred from the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

Who do we support

Supported Accommodation for young people (16 - 21) who are facing homelessness or need supported accommodation as part of their pathway from residential / foster care.
We have floating support schemes that are aimed exclusively at young people and a scheme for people (16+) with issues around criminal justice / substance misuse.

This service is for people aged between 16 years and 21 years.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - There is a rent and service charge for supported accommodation which varies depending on which project.

Can anyone use this service?

Referrals in to accommodation come via the Gateway and Move on panel. Referrals in to Floating Support come from Vale of Glamorgan Council.

Accommodation is 24 hour staffed.
Office at 236 Holton Road is open Monday to Thursday 9.30 to 5pm and 9 to 4pm on Friday.
