What we do

The Vale of Glamorgan Neighbourhood Watch Association co-ordinates local Watches across the Vale of Glamorgan, including Barry, Penarth, Wenvoe, Rhoose, Llantwit Major, Cowbridge, Wick and Ystradowen, as well as various smaller villages. Representatives from most of the areas form the Association's Committee, which meets normally every two or three months. The Association is also affiliated to the Central Neighbourhood Watch Network based in London and the regional South Wales Network. The Association works in tandem with the Safer Vale Partnership, the South Wales Police and the Vale of Glamorgan County Council. If you wish to set up a local Watch, please contact VOGNW@outlook.com or go to the Safer Vale Partnership website or the Central Ourwatch website. Membership is free and the Association can supply you with joining packs, leaflets, stickers and street signs.

Who do we support

Neighbourhood Watch is for all communities who wish to feel safe from crime and enjoy a good quality of life. The Neighbourhood Watch purposes are to bring neighbours together to create strong and active communities and to promote good citizenship and greater awareness and participation in the prevention and detection of crime, to improve community liaison and to increase public safety.
