What we do

The Hub provides a library service, offering a wide variety of books and computer access. You can also get one-stop help with bus pass applications. The self-service scanning station allows you to upload housing benefit evidence. We hold a weekly housing surgery where you can get face-to-face advice from our team. We also run community activities for groups of all ages.

As a Hub our services include, Money Advice, IntoWork Services, Adult Leaning, Assistance with housing and Benefits enquiries, access to foodbank vouchers and picking up green recycling bags. We can support if you are facing homelessness or on the housing waiting list.

Who do we support

Anyone can join the library for free and as a library member you can make the most of our range of physical books and electronic resources. You can do this online or in person at any of our Hubs and libraries. When you join in person, you will need to show proof of ID. If you are under 16, your parent or carer will need to show one form of ID and sign the application.

This service is for people of all ages.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Depends - While many of our resources are free, there is a nominal charge for some of our services.

If you have not finished with the book or other physical resource you have borrowed from us, it will continue to renew automatically. We will let you know if another person reserves an item you have borrowed. This will usually be by email. You will then need to return the item. Fines are charged for overdue items and you can pay any fine in person at our Hubs and libraries. We only accept cash for fine payments.

Can anyone use this service?

Anyone can join the library free of charge and access our range of resources. You can borrow books, eBooks, and use the computers for free, however some groups may have age requirements, fees or need a booking. Please check our website for all the details.
