What we do

The library line information service can help you with any queries you may have including where to find information.

Your enquiry will be answered by one of our specialist information team. We will:

Answer your question within 2 working days
Answer factual questions
Help you find relevant information and resources online or printed
Refer you to other agencies where appropriate
Use authoritative sources

Who do we support

Library members and the general public of any age.

This service is for people of all ages.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Depends - Research services and fees - £15.00 per 30 minutes*
*Please note: enquiries that take less than half an hour to answer will not incur a research fee, although any photocopied or printed items provided may be charged.

Enquiries that take between half an hour and a maximum of two hours of staff time to research and answer will attract a research fee of £15.00 per half hour, with postage added where appropriate. We cannot undertake in-depth research.
