Located at facilities across South East Wales, Vision 21 (Cyfle Cymru) supports life-changing opportunities for people with learning disabilities to realise their potential.Get hands-on as you learn the basics of carpentry, joinery and furniture assembly in our V21 Woodwork @ Barry project.You will work in a supportive environment, alongside our friendly team, while learning to safely use a range of hand tools and power tools.You learn how to make a wide range of handmade and assembled wooden products for the home and garden.Together, we will develop a training plan to suit you and you could learn skills such as:Cutting wood to size.Drilling, fixing and assembling.Identifying woodworking tools and equipment.Preparing and treating wood.Painting skills.Using hand and power tools.Recognising different types of wood.
People with learning disabilities, age 14+.
This service is for people aged between 14 years and 100 years.
