Support for parents/carers who have a child with a disability.The Forward Steps service provides a wide range of support to help strengthen families affected by disability, and helps improve the wellbeing of parents and families by offering a tailored family support plan. The service is available to families where a child has a disability or is on the diagnostic pathway, who live in Neath Port Talbot.We can offer pre and post diagnosis support which includes behaviour, positive parenting, understanding Additional Learning Needs and disabilities. We offer peer support networks to share experiences with other families. We offer information, advice and therapeutic emotional support. The service will also provide parenting support specifically for parents who have a learning disability.
