What we do

Work experience, therapeutic horticulture and training in the 6 acre Walled garden at Stackpole. Participants grow plants and produce for sale in the onsite shop and for use in the onsite cafe. Participants also have the opportunity to work in our new vineyard, helping us towards producing wine. There is some free transport available dependent on location and the day or days participants choose to attend. We will give you a free taster session to see if you enjoy it. The gardens are open to the public.

Who do we support

Adults with learning disabilities and or ASD - participants will need to be reasonably physically able for this service. If help is needed with personal care or if you usually have a 1:1 support worker you will need to bring a PA with you to this day service. Your service will be for a minimum of 6 weeks and all booked service will be charged for including any absences. We will need a copy of your care plan prior to starting the service. Full terms and conditions can be requested by email.

We are a Tier 2 provider on the Day Opportunities Framework with Pembrokeshire Council. We provide a supported environment, i.e. group support but no 1:1 support or personal care

This service is for people aged 18+.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Participants can use Direct Payments or private funds and be independently invoiced or may be funded by their local Council. Our current rate is £56.13 per session (10am-3pm). Participants will need to bring a packed lunch and snacks. There is an onsite Cafe where food can be purchased at preferential rates whilst you are working.

Can anyone use this service?

This service can be accessed independently or via a social worker. Please note-if you need help with personal care or usually have one to one support you will need to bring a PA with you to the service. All participant must wear suitable clothing for the activity. We will provide safety boots and PPE.
