What we do

FAN Stands for Friends and Neighbours

FAN groups are weekly meetings where people sit in a circle and talk about a chosen topic.

At FAN meetings you can:

Make friends
Meet new people from diverse backgrounds
Practise English if you are learning
Discuss interesting topics
Feel less lonely and isolated

Some FAN meetings take place in person, socially distanced. Others take place virtually using Zoom.

Or search 'Find A FAN Meeting' to find a virtual meeting. Of course you can join a Virtual Meeting from anywhere!

You can also call or email and our friendly staff will help you find a group that's right for you.

Most groups use English in the group and one uses Welsh and is suitable for learners and fluent speakers.

Who do we support

Anyone in the community who'd like to:

Make friends
Meet new people
Meet people from diverse backgrounds
Are new to the local area
May be feeling isolated or lonely
Are learning English (or Welsh) and would like to practise
Would like to chat about different topics

FAN offers a warm welcome to refugees and asylum seekers.

This service is for people aged 18+.
