Have choice and take control
The Cardiff Wellbeing Support Service aims to improve participants’ health and wellbeing by supporting them to become more active, confident, and connected within their community. We offer short term, one to one mentoring from our Health and Wellbeing Mentors, who help individuals access the support, services, and opportunities that best meet their wellbeing needs, including advice, activities, events, or any other resources promoting positive wellbeing. A wide range of activities are available, based on someone’s interests, such as tai chi, social groups, digital skills sessions, gardening clubs, singing groups, arts and crafts, volunteering and more, creating opportunities to build confidence and make new friends. Once a Health and Wellbeing Mentor is assigned, participants receive up to 13 weeks of tailored support. During this time, the participant and mentor work together on the goals outlined in the individual’s Personal Action Plan to help improve their overall wellbeing
