This service service provides support for socially isolated older people within their local communities. This service provides the opportunity to: • Prevent loneliness and isolation • Improve wellbeing, both physical and mental • Maintain / improve mobility • Develop new skills and or hobbiesThe service provides lunch clubs and other daily link clubs across the county of Monmouthshire. Outside speakers such as the Police, Fire Brigade, Community nurses etc. are invited to give talks. However should there be a request for a broader subject or topic, it will always be considered.The service offers: • Exercise classes • Bingo and other games • Arts and crafts etc. • Music and dance where bands have occasionally come in to perform for groupsAnd more… These activities may currently be restricted due to COVID measuresTransport can be provided by Age Cymru Gwent at a small cost to the service user to and from venues if absolutely needed.
