What we do

Provide tailored and flexible parent and family-centred support which will empower and enable parents to create a more positive and sustainable family life that fully supports their own needs and the needs of the children and young people in their care.
Support will be delivered in the family’s home, with a central focus on overcoming barriers, and could help with morning/bedtime routines, family mealtimes, food shopping/budgeting, basic safety in the home and support to access groups within the community. Support is provided for a 12-week period and is person centred to the needs of each individual family.

Who do we support

Families with children aged 0-25 years in Neath Port Talbot.
The services are intended to help families at the earliest opportunity to stop problems escalating however; families who need more help are also welcome to use the services.
Families receiving support from Social Services should speak to their social worker about help they feel they need.

No

Can anyone use this service?

A referral is needed for all services. Families can refer themselves or be referred by a professional such a teacher or Health Visitor. Anyone making a referral for a family must talk to the family so they know what information is given and the type of support being requested.

We don’t provide care we provide support for those that need support within the home. We can support people to access the right benefits / equipment/ homes
