Have choice and take control
This is a poetry session with older people in mind. It is a chance for members of day or residential groups to recall times, places, names and events in their lives through the medium of poetry - as well as enjoying the poetry itself.A few years ago I moved back to South Wales from Suffolk and now live in Rogerstone, Newport. I have had many poems, short stories and articles published nationally. For several years I've provided interactive poetry, prose and reminiscence sessions to a variety of groups including those linked to the Alzheimer’s Society and Age Concern. I am also on the Speakers’ List of both the Gwent and the Glamorgan Federations of Women’s Institutes. I rely on invitations from existing groups. Hence I visit established residential/community venues when invited.
For older people.
This service is for people aged 60+.
