What we do

The Domestic Abuse service will offer a suite of specialist interventions and programmes that are family focused and offer choice for families who have either left the perpetrator or who wish to stay together. This includes targeted and age appropriate interventions for children and young people of victims, victims and perpetrators.
The service aims to assess the family dynamic, identifying the primary perpetrators of abuse and offer a bespoke package of support to the whole family.
A multi-disciplined approach will be used to seek positive behaviour change in perpetrators, or those displaying unhealthy relationship behaviours, at the same time as offering support to victims and their children. This approach will produce change that lasts so that families can continue to benefit long after exit from the programme. The focus is on early intervention, working with families to prevent situations from escalating and protecting children from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s).
