What we do

Nant-y-Cwm is an independent school offering a child-centered, holistic education in the heart of Pembrokeshire. Waldorf education centers on nurturing a child’s intellectual, artistic, and practical capacities, tailored to their developmental stages. The philosophy values the individuality of each child, encouraging a love for learning, ethical responsibility, and a sense of community.
Waldorf education draws on the ideas of the early 20th Century philosopher, Rudolf Steiner on how to educate children in a way that enables them to become their true selves, be equipped to lead a life of their own choosing, contribute positively to society and be a strong force for good in the world.
It is respected worldwide for its ability to produce able young people, who have a strong sense of self and diverse capacities that enable them to become socially and economically responsible citizens.

Who do we support

Nant-y-Cwm Steiner School is for families of children between the age of 3 and 14. We also run a weekly parent and child group for children aged 0-3 and their accompanying adult. Please do get in touch with the school to book a place. We have regular open days, but please do get in touch with the school if you would like to visit and talk with a member of staff.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Can anyone use this service?

Nant-y-Cwm is open to everyone and we encourage anyone seeking an education that nurtures children's emotional, spiritual and physical development as well as their academic progress to come and visit.
