Soundworks, our term-time music-making workshops for adults with learning disabilities and autism, are currently held at Better Cardiff Western Leisure Centre. These inclusive sessions encourage participants to explore sounds, rhythms and instruments in an informal, accessible and safe space. During the sessions, participants explore the fundamental building blocks of music with the support and encouragement of their carers. The sessions also provide an opportunity for carers to develop skills in using music to build up their clients’ levels of social interaction, communication skills and confidence. A creative space that is fun, friendly and FREE to attend! There are two sessions on Tuesdays: 11am-12.30pm & 1pm - 2:30pm. Sessions take place at Western Leisure Centre, Ely, Cardiff. New members are always welcome, just get in touch with us via email: a2@artsactive.org.uk
