What we do

Whether you're brand new to gardening or you're already a keen grower, you're invited to take part in our monthly gardening club and lend a hand growing food and flowers at Railway Gardens.

Gardening Club is open to all ages and all levels of experience, from complete beginner to confident gardener.
Each monthly session with be led by our Garden Guru Helen who will support everyone taking part to plan what needs doing in the garden and find a task they enjoy. Activities you can expect include seed sowing, planting out young plants, clearing beds, pruning, harvesting and a lot more.
You can stay for a little or as much of the session as you like.
All tools and gloves are provided, although if you have your own gardening gloves and hand tools please do bring them to use.

Who do we support

Everyone is welcome

You will be able to borrow gardening books free of charge from our Green Library, you can sign up to borrow gardening equipment from Lent (the library of things) and you will also be able to use our seed library or see if free plants, pots or produce are available at our Crop Exchange corner!
