Have choice and take control
Neurodegenerative dance sessions are specifically designed for individuals living with conditions that cause progressive degeneration of the brain and nervous system, such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and other forms of dementia. The primary goal of these sessions is to help manage symptoms, improve physical function, and enhance the overall quality of life. Through tailored movements, rhythm, and music, these classes aim to improve balance, gait, coordination, flexibility, and motor control, which are often affected by these conditions. Beyond the physical, they also offer significant cognitive benefits, stimulating memory and executive functions, while fostering social connection and emotional expression, ultimately aiming to slow symptom progression and promote a sense of well-being and joy.
