What we do

Abergavenny Bowls Club provides opportunities for members to play bowls 7 days per week, with a busy schedule of weekly league, friendly & club matches & informal daily practice sessions from April to September.
Our club provides opportunities for members to remain fit, healthy and active by playing bowls outdoors. Additionally, the social aspect of Abergavenny Bowls Club improves the quality of life of our members and their families.

Who do we support

Founded in 1860 we are the oldest bowls club in Wales. We have ladies and men's teams and welcome all.
The club provides support and celebrates the achievements of all members, particularly older players, those with disabilities and those who may be experiencing loneliness and isolation.
From our junior member to our more senior bowlers in their 80s and 90s all choose when and how to participate. We are proud that as the oldest bowls club in Wales, we continue to build lasting friendships and provide companionship whether bowling, supporting matches or joining in our social activities.
