What we do

The Vale of Glamorgan Mental Health Floating Support is an outreach service offering tenancy-related support to individuals who have mental health needs and are living in the community. We are based in Barry but cover the whole of The Vale, from Penarth and Leckwith to Ogmore-by-sea.

The support we offer is person-centred and focuses on helping individuals become independent, self-reliant, maintain their tenancy, avoid eviction and provide support to avoid hospital admissions unless necessary. We encourage and incorporate our support in helping the individual to feel part of the local and wider community, in the aim of reducing loneliness, isolation and homelessness.

This Adferiad Vale of Glamorgan housing-related support project is provided over 5 days (Monday to Friday), usually between the hours of 9am and 5pm (this can change and be flexible in line with your needs).

Who do we support

Adferiad Vale of Glamorgan Outreach Floating Tenancy Support delivers support to individuals (18 years of age and above), across the County of Vale of Glamorgan. We offer support to individuals with mental health issues, with a primary need of housing-related support.

This service is for people aged 18+.

Can anyone use this service?

The service is for individuals 18 years and over, who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and reside within the Vale of Glamorgan. Referrals to Adferiad Vale of Glamorgan Outreach Tenancy Support are made by the Vale of Glamorgan County Council.
