What we do

The Virtual Village Hall is a free, online activity hub and community, designed by Royal Voluntary Service with support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. It helps people stay mentally and physically active, socially connected and having fun, and supports them to better manage their health, including long-term conditions. It offers everything you’d expect to find at a typical community centre or village hall, only virtually. Around 20,000 people use it every month.

The Virtual Village Hall offers live activity sessions every weekday on YouTube, Facebook and the VVH website, and there's a library of 3,000+ activity sessions to watch on demand. Activities are updated regularly.

Sessions are hosted by expert tutors and presenters, including some well-known faces. Activities include gentle exercise and dance classes, yoga and meditation, cooking, crafts, creative writing and more. It’s free to join and take part. No sign in or subscription required.

This service is for people aged 18+.
