What we do

Take a Bow is a vibrant and inclusive performing arts group for adults with learning disabilities and/or who are neurodiverse. We provide a supportive and creative space where everyone can express themselves through dance and drama, build confidence, and develop new skills.
Our group meets every Tuesday at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven and every Wednesday at the Johnston Institute, from 10:30-3:00p.m. During our sessions, participants take part in engaging dance and drama workshops designed to encourage creativity, communication, and teamwork.
We work together to prepare for live performances, giving our members the opportunity to showcase their talents to the wider community. Each session focuses on developing performance skills, building trust within the group, and celebrating individual achievements.
At Take a Bow, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to shine and we take pride in creating a welcoming environment where every voice and movement matters.

Who do we support

Take a Bow is open to adults with learning disabilities and/or who are neurodiverse who have an interest in the performing arts. Whether you’re completely new to drama and dance or already have some experience, our group offers a safe, supportive, and creative space to explore your talents. We welcome anyone who enjoys expressing themselves, meeting new people, and working together as part of a friendly, inclusive team. We do ask however you only join if;
you are able to commit to the two days rehearsal (Tuesday and Wednesday)
You have a genuine passion for performing arts
You are excited about working hard in a group setting.

This service is for people aged 18+.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Most of our participants will be paying for their service through Day Opportunities. If you plan to fund your place yourself please get in touch with us to discuss further.

Can anyone use this service?

Any adult with a learning disability or neurodivergence can refer themselves thought they would need to meet certain criteria e.g they would need to be able to commit to the two days of the project, they would need to have a passion for performing arts and be able to work in a group setting.
