What we do

Winter can be a tough time. Cold weather, shorter days and rising costs can make everything feel that little bit harder, which is why Winter Warm Club is back at Splott Community Volunteers, offering warmth, food and friendly faces throughout the week.

Our Winter Warm Club mornings run on Mondays (10.30am-12noon), Wednesdays and Fridays (10am-12noon). These relaxed sessions offer a hot drink and toast or cereal, plus a warm, welcoming space to sit, chat and start the day feeling supported. There’s no pressure, just comfort, connection and community.

On Tuesdays from 12-1pm, we serve Winter Warm Club lunches, with a hot bowl of soup and a roll. These lunches are a chance to enjoy a nourishing meal, take a break from the cold, and spend time with others in a friendly, informal setting.

Who do we support

Our resource is for people who live in and around Splott, namely Splott, Adamsdown and Tremorfa.

We’re also running Winter Warm Club Lunch & Bingo on the third Friday of the month: 16th January, 20th February and 20th March. These sessions combine a warm lunch with a lively game of bingo. We’re bringing laughter, fun and social connection to the winter months.

Winter Warm Club is about more than food. It’s about making sure people have a warm place to go, a kind conversation, and a sense that they’re not facing winter alone. Everyone’s welcome and if you know someone who might benefit, please spread the word.
