What we do

NYAS Cymru's Project Unity is an all-Wales initiative that supports care experienced pregnant young women and Mothers up to the age of 25. Project Unity is funded by the Welsh Government Social Services Sustainability Grant. We provide person-centred holistic intensive support, help & advice, peer support, opportunities, and advocacy through a wraparound service.

Our aim is to empower young women and promote equality. Helping them and their families engage with services, access practical and emotional support and learn new life skills with the aim of keeping families together, wherever possible.

We work alongside key partners including Local Authorities, Health Boards and Third Sector Agencies. To help break the cycle of children being born to care-experienced young mothers entering the care system in Wales.

Every young person Project Unity support is allocated a one-to-one project worker who is also a fully qualified independent advocate.

This service is for people of all ages.
