What we do

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board are running a COVID-19 and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccination campaign from March - May 2026.

Eligible individuals will be invited via letter to attend a vaccination appointment. Vaccination will take place at a range of venues in the community, and the location of an appointment is tailored to where people live or their GP practices to make it as convenient as possible to attend.

The vaccination campaign will focus on older adults (aged 75 and over) as these diseases can cause serious illness in this age group.

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a virus. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.
The COVID-19 vaccine is still offered because viruses change and protection fades over time. It's important to top up your protection if you're eligible.

This service is for people aged between 75 years and 100 years.
